DivX para Playstation 3


Asi es y mas o menos nos dicen que el pasado 2 de noviembre los desarrolladores recibieron una actualizacion del SDK la 2.0 (NO el firmware) y que estan desarrollandolo para PS3, esperan implementarlo, y lanzarlo en una proxima actualizacion de firmware para PS3
Esto es un punto MUY a favor de la ps3. ¿ Que opinais ?

(NASDAQIVX) today announced that DivX(R) video technology will be integrated into PLAYSTATION(R)3 (PS3(TM)) from Sony Computer Entertainment Inc. (SCE). The popular computer entertainment system will be added to the ecosystem of devices that currently support DivX video playback. To date, over 100 million DivX Certified(R) products have been shipped into the market, and it is anticipated PS3 will significantly expand that number.

Products that bear the DivX Certified logo have undergone a rigorous testing program to ensure a high-quality DivX media experience that includes reliable video playback and excellent visual quality. DivX is currently working to certify PS3 and deliver a superior digital media technology to consumers in the near future. Current PS3 end users will be able to add DivX functionality to their systems via a separate system software update at a forthcoming date. PS3 game title developers will be able to utilize DivX's decoder technology by updating the system software of PS3's Software Development Kit to version 2.00, which was released by SCE on November 2nd.

    Me parece genial; asi al menos, la ps3 podrá hacer lo que hacía la GP32 hace años; reproducir DIVX... XDDDDD.
    sin, coñas, me parece una buena noticia, solo me molesta que no lo hayan hecho antes (de salida por ejemplo).

    Tu mismo lo dices, han comprado la licencia de DIVX para los juegos, que no quiere decir que puedas reproducirlos tu desde tu hdd.

    GC reproducia divx, no te digo mas xDD

    Y no crees que tu que si han comprao la licencia, no se va poder reproducir Divx desde el XMB ¿? .... ademas de que no veo yo eso que ponga que solo para los juegos.

    La 360 esta negociando, hasta donde tengo entendido, para poder visualizar videos divx y xvid en la consola. Por dios, guerra de codecs es lo que faltaria.

    De ser para el usuario, es la tumba para sony, divx de alta definicion en el caballo de troya del BR, el formato a tomar por culo antes de empezar a correr xDDD

    Y la xbox se sabe que va a tener soporte.
