Geoff Keighley, periodista y maestro de ceremonias de los tradicionales VGA Awards, rebautizados como VGX y emitidos por la cadena Spike TV, ha apostado fuerte por los que prentenden ser los Oscars de los videojuegos. Tanto es así, que el propio periodista se ha rodeado de importantes asesores de varias compañías de la industria y se hará cargo de los gastos de la gala.
Es cierto que hay un riesgo importante. En principio pensé en pedir ayuda a través de Kickstarter, pero realmente me hubiera resultado extraño. Necesito hacerlo por mí mismo y demostrar que puedo conseguirlo
Después de todo este revuelo por fin llega el momento de saber el nombre de los nominados a los premios re-rebautizados como 'The Games Awards 2014'. El evento tendrá lugar en el Axis Theater de Las Vegas el próximo 5 de diciembre y será emitido en directo a través de multitud de plataformas a partir de las 6:00 pm (3:00 h de la madrugada española).
