Can you explain in english please?
I'm really glad that the source code is publically available, specially since there are some pieces of code of my own there. But there is an important misunderstanding here that need to be clarified.
I understand that fba is under the GPL. I couldn't find any reference to any other license in source nor binary (in fact, I couldn't find any reference to any license at all in the source package!) It is a common misunderstanding to think that it is mandatory under the GPL to release the source code. It is not. The GPL makes mandatory to individually give away the source code if requested by anyone that got the binaries. There is no need to give the sources if they are not requested. There is no need to publish the sources in the internet at all, never. And if you don't have the binaries (for example, if you are the final user of a GPL web service), you don't have the right of requesting the source code.
The easiest way to fullfill these requirements is releasing the sources to the public. I prefer so and I expect from other developers modifying my code to do the same. But if you want to make this mandatory for your code, the GPLv2 is not your license.
The GPLv2, section 6c: http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl.html

Keep in mind that the GPL gives rights to the user, not the developer![]()

FOR HEADOVERHEELS
Excuse me but i have used a traductor, eheheh.
Explain the problem, for example and 'go faster but is not fluid, and as if it were active autoframeskip, in earlier versions, the speed' was correct, but now no.
IS ACTIVE AUTOFRAMESKIP?
Erm... FB/FBA is definitely NOT licensed as GPL. The license that FBA uses states this:
It does not mean that you have to make a full source release with every binary, but you must at least release the code to the changes you have made. More-or-less, you can make an initial source release for your project (using a .diff or whatever) and then just post the small changes from then on if you want.- You must make public any changes you make to the source code;
...
If you modify or improve this code, you must distribute the source code improvements.
Not only that, I never said "release your code or stop your project." I simply gave the option of releasing the changes or removing the code I've added to FBA. Given that it is my code, I'm fairly certain I can reserve that right.
Lastly, I must thank headoverheals for being so forthcoming with his sources and for working on this project (I don't have a gp device, but it's still cool).
Then, there is no arguing. Head must release the source code of each binary release. Sorry, I couldn't find this license in the fba documentation.
Not if GPLed, since it is users that have rights and not developers. Anyway, you stated that your code is not GPL, and then you do have that rightGiven that it is my code, I'm fairly certain I can reserve that right.
I was trying to clarify a legal issue, and it showed up that I was wrong in my assumptions. My apologies, and many thanks to Head and you for the work on this emulator. It is definitively one of my faves. And I love to see the source code of your work.
